Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision
84 Taranaki Street Wellington
Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision is New Zealand's national audiovisual archive.
The archive cares for a large and diverse collection of moving image and audio items, along with related documentation. The collections span Aotearoa’s sound and moving image history – from the earliest days of cinema, audio recording and television, to contemporary film, television, advertisements, music videos, computer games and radio productions.
The head office in Wellington is where the majority of moving image archiving takes place. The organisation also has branches in Auckland and Christchurch (where the sound archivists are based), and 17 medianet viewing sites at partner museums and galleries across New Zealand.
