Specializing in Concept Design, World Development, Specialty Costume, Props, Weapons, Prosthetics, SFX, Vehicles, Miniatures, Robots and Creatures. Wētā Workshop has helped filmmakers and creatives to make imaginary worlds a reality, for over 30 years.
Based in Wellington, New Zealand the team at Wētā Workshop engages in projects from the earliest stages of technical analysis and creative design through to manufacture across all departments and final delivery on set, to anywhere in the world.
Wētā Workshop is comprised of 6 different divisions. In addition to their core creative services, they also have divisions in Game Development, Location Based Experiences [Design & Project Management], and Collectibles. As well as two Tourism experiences located in Wellington and Auckland.
